Joan, are we talking about VELC? Could you give us more information about the dividends? According to Yahoo!, the company has never paid more than .30/year dividends, apparently paid annually, until January 2007 when they paid .32.

The data shown on this Yahoo! link indicates that they split 10 for 1 in 1999. Did you buy it before that, and are your dividends based on those split shares?

Just trying to understand the basis for the 12% yield.
