still pay way too much attention to politics, but I've recently
concluded I ought to probably give it up. The news coming out of
Washington, D.C. seems to be that we are an empire now, democracy be
damned (except as a rhetorical flourish) and the corporations will rule

the world. No doubt this will please Maurice Winn, and you'll probably
continue to find work in exotic locations. But for me, the America I
grew up in is lost to history. Time for me to find some fun new hobbies

to amuse myself and be a good citizen by becoming invisible. <wink>
