Elroy, I suppose Ramadan will now become a month-long holiday for school kids? Ramadan isn't a holiday. Everything is normal but the Muslims can't eat or drink in the daytime. There is a 3 day holiday (Eid) when Ramadan ends. I imagine Muslims in the US would want to be able to take those three days in the same way that Jewish kids take off Hanukah (if they do - I can't really recall whether Jewish kids took Jewish holidays off from school - too long ago!).
