My best friend just sold the 1 BR condo on the lower east side he bought 7 years ago. He paid $225,000 for it. Two summers ago, it was worth $450. A month ago he sold it for $825,000 and bought a new condo (still being built) on 120th Street and 5th avenue for $825,000. Since his purchase, the prices of those (unfinished condos) have risen to $1,125,000. no problem in Manhattan, best... LIG
