The Brinker's did not necessarily need the person's email address in order to identify him as a poster at a site that Brinker hates.

The Brinker's read the man's name and the location where he lives when he signed up at the site. That's all they needed to cancel his subscription and accuse the man of doing something that I have never seen him do.

It is, as Yaetmo said, guilt by association. Too bad the person who was treated so shabbily by the Brinker's can't sue for breach of a contract, slander or something. It might teach those arrogant, smarmy Brinker's a smidgen of respect.

The Brinker's obviously watch all message boards, all the time and took advantage of this opportunity to insult and slam one of his perceived detractors.
