Even if FDR was moving down the road of fascism [and I don't believe that's true], he had significant distance to go. Whereas the Bush administration is further down that same road.

Thats beyond wrong, its ridiculous. Even if you regard capturing terrorists and holding them without trial to be a step towards fascism, its a much smaller step than arresting regular Americans for providing discounts for cleaning and pressing suits, or sending government agents around battering down doors to stop people from working at night.

I am talking about the collusion between big business and gov't under Bush. The billions lost or wasted over in Iraq through no bid contracts. The way the American news media which is owned by major corporations gave Bush a free ride when it came to the invasion of Iraq. There were so many holes in Bush's argument, you could have driven a Mack truck through them. Yet, not a peep from the major media outlets in this country while in the UK they were screaming their heads off with the truth.

Bush and company have ignored the Geneva Conventions, tortured and maimed individuals whether they were guilty of a crime or not, ignored our wiretapping laws and instead, did what they pleased.

There is more but that's enough to concern any American who believes in democracy. I am continually amazed at your denial that these events and scenarios are no big deal.
