(AP) -- Force Dynamics LLC, a joint venture of military contractors Force Protection Inc. and General Dynamics Corp., said it produced a record number of vehicles in September. The company, which makes mine-resistant combat vehicles, said it built more than 115 Cougar models in the last month, and is ahead of schedule to complete its contract for the year. The Defense Department has ordered more than 1,900 of the company's Cougar and Buffalo model vehicles this year. General Dynamics shares added 38 cents to $84.89 in midday trading.
