Of course they had control when Kerry lost. They sent their cronies to work on his campaign after it was already too late to save Kerry. He might have mucked up Hillary's chances in 2008. They put up Clark when it looked like Dean might win. They allowed Dean to be the head of the DNC because he was so loony that in comparison hillary looks relatively moderate even though she is a socialist.
