New York-headquartered Pfizer also said that it's establishing a new separate research entity in the San Francisco Bay area that will focus on developing biotherapeutics. The effort will be headed up by Corey Goodman, a founder of biotech concerns Exelixis Inc. and Renovis. Goodman, who resigned as chief executive of Renovis on Oct. 1, will report directly to Pfizer CEO Jeffrey Kindler.
