Sounds similar to the Virginia/Washington/Maryland area.

Growth has not paid for itself-------we have paid and paid-----bonds and more bonds----and taxes and more taxes.

I don't know how small business owners have survived in these environments. As the taxes increase, then consumers pull back also. And, many don't survive----particularly the restaurants that are more than fast-food places.
