GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 4, 2007
The area of low pressure in the northeastern Gulf has shown no signs of development but still could become a tropical depression in the next day or so, according to the National Hurricane Center. Offshore Gulf production has dropped 1%, or about 111,000 Dth/d, hardly a sign that producers are concerned about this storm. Total offshore and onshore Gulf production is down 1% to 11.4 Bcf/d. A 133,000 Dth/d drop has taken place in the Louisiana areas, most of it on Tennessee, Destin and Transco.

TEXAS ENERGY BULLETIN: October 4, 2007
Ship Channel jumped 46 cnts to $7.06, the first time above $7.00 since June 22nd. Henry is up 41 cnts to $6.96, thus Ship Channel is back to 10 cnts over Henry. Waha is up 43 cnts to $6.95, or 11 cnts below Ship. In only 8 days, Waha has increased by $2.00. Flows moving east are basically unchanged from yesterday.Permian to Waha flows are down to almost zero. Panhandle traded at $6.26, up 37 cnts.Socal came in at $6.88 or 47 cnts above Wednesday. Socal is now at 7 cnts under Waha. Flows moving west are down by 74,000 MMbtu.

US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 4, 2007
US gas burn jumps by 1.4 Bcf today to hit 24.3 Bcf, a 6% gain from yesterday and a new high for the month of October. Yesterday's I2 nominations rose 1.6 Bcf from the evening cycle, primarily in FRCC, SERC, and WECC. For today's evening cycle, the biggest jump is in the RFC, up nearly 500 MMcf due to an general bolt in temperatures and 6 GW of Nuke baseload being out.The NPCC and SERC show marginal gains today along with WECC. Burn for the EIA week ending today ends at 149 Bcf.
