I believe I already answered that when I said if James wasn't guilty of "sharing" then Brinker owed him an apology. But you're asking a hypothetical question, so I'll give you a hypothetical answer: yes, I would think it would be wrong to cancel a subscriber's subscription if he were not guilty and BTW, why would Brinker want to do so? It doesn't make any sense. I would assume that Brinker must think he has the evidence. And as octavian said, notice that James didn't claim innocence, at least in the excerpt you posted.
