Do you really think so? Given that inventories are rising even as builders cut back harder and harder I can't see how the markets can support so many builders. My guess is that BZH, WCI, and maybe HOV are walking corpses. There are probably others as well.

The builders DO have the major advantage of using subs to do all the work. They can pull in their horns a lot more than a company that would use employees, but you still have all the overpaid executives sucking the company dry.

All that being said, I do actually own one homebuilder right now. Wouldn't consider owning any of the others but this one seems to be doing pretty well off of all the government waste. If the Democrats win in 08 this builder should clean up. I will buy more on weakness.
