I've heard that rumor and I think it is preposterous. The political risks would have been enormous, even beyond calculation. It makes no more sense than the cockamamie theory that Bush engineered the WTC collapse to justify getting into war with Iraq.


There have been rumors for years that Roosevelt and his insiders knew of the pending attack. They did nothing to prevent it so he would have ample reason to enter the war against Japan.
