i have interest in a outsource intermediary op based in beijing, and we, for example, have been doing work for rhode island based usa luxury consumer goods company since 1994

the company had shut down its usa factory about 2003

we worked, along side usa team, to create quality, bring up to speed, etc etc, and so allowed for shutting usa plant

job well done

outsource is really more for the big boyz than the little guys

little guys will simply be overwhelmed by resources (people, moolah) required

and should they not try (know one company sent controlling shareholder/chairman's son to village near tianjin to live/work), they will go under in any case

tough jungle

like i had mentioned to cb ilaine before, the company that gets china right, either as a market and/or as a source, wins, for a while, until the chinese come for it in their good time, then "game over, player one" in any case

for once the threat is genuine, and the dangers real, but the likes of cb ilaine gives folks a false sense of unjustified security, due to absolute ignorance and total inability to understand

then the crowd cries to washington

and for what? the joy of paying more for lesser still?

the drama is dramatic

much fun ahead

chugs, tj
