I agree, we may be getting close to the magic tipping point.

IMO it won't take too much more official BS out of Washington (e.g. job creation for the dead using the birth/death model, and domestic inflation only being 2%) to put US credibility on a par with something along the lines of the Philippines under Ferdinand Marcos. Some might even say that we're there already.

When people cease to believe official numbers, that throws the door wide open to speculation and rumor about what the real figures might be, which only leads to market chaos
