Breaking Fox news--TOL to double--Gary B. Smith! Sheesh! Bulls and Bears was even worse than usual this am. Apparently now Ann Coulter has branched out into financial analysis. OTOH--When out in central Long Island yesterday I stopped at a huge Levitz furniture store to see if I could score some inexpensive dining room chairs to surprise Mrs. Renovator for our anniversary. I was swarmed by idle salespeople--worse than Joba in Cleveland! After realizing I was not opening the wallet on the spot the old girl helping me (her years of experience helped her take the shortest angle through the displays to claim my potential business) admitted that business was totally in the tank. Their huge advert campaign promoting a Columbus Day weekend sale which started that day had turned up not one new customer. Pretty cheesy chairs too. Oh well, I may have to reglue and recover the ones we have.
