The following is a quote from a 8/15/96 Dow Jones article entitled "S. Korea: More Competition with Mobile-Phone Mkt": "Since South Korea adopted the CDMA standard, its own cellular market has taken off. Korea Mobile Telecom, one of two operators licensed by the government so far, launched its CDMA service in May and by mid-July had picked up 100,000 subscribers. The other operator, Shinsegi Telecom, has about 30,000 users." Qualcomm is an investor in Shinsegi Telecom.
