Chips drive the NASDOG - but chips don't get rewarded - AAPL et al does. WHY?
They clearly show how the SOX has been lagging the major indices for the past many weeks.

Apple has probably a great turnaround story but beside I suspect that companies that use IC's very successfully (like NAND flash in case of Apple) are doing better than the companies like Samsung, Tosihiba. SNDK that actually provide the technology .. and going down further the foodline AMAT et al. AMAT et al is doing poorly compared to AAPL though AAPL greatly depends on AMAT; AAPL would be nothing or little without AMAT et al. or let's say AAPL's competitive advantage would be less without AMAT.
The "market" assumes equipment makers and chipmakers can push Moore law like clockwork and the "market" only rewards companies like AAPl that leverage chips/Moore's law to push their own (AAPL) vision.
Or look at GOOG - anybody doubt hardware (chips) are NOT key in GOOG success going forward?
If you look at AAPL, DELL and Intel you find Dell is lagging.
So companies like Apple (that have a vision) can successfully leverage state of the art chip technology compared to Dell which is just a boxmaker.
What companies are driving Nasdog - AAPL should be one
