The insurance company I work for is using Kodak digital cameras with pcmcia cards in the claims area. They are using a bay on the desktop pc to download the photos. This technology is already in place. The problem with it is that it's too expensive for the average consumer to consider. We're use to paying 3 or 4 bucks for a roll of film and then a little more to develop it. If you think about it, digital cameras are much cheaper to own and operate. The resolution just isn't there yet in most people's opinion (unless you really want to spend alot more for the camera).
