if you need something for your projection room, you'll need to wait a bit longer for Full HD at 1080p as 720p, which apple-TV is capable of now would not deliver the "juice" which 1080p can provide for your much bigger screen.

I too, am waiting for apple tv or something else to provide 1080p as well as wireless capabilities to send room to room

slingbox, tivo, and DVR's from various providers will give you 1080i and even 1080p at this time, but no wireless and over the air, over satellite, and cable HD all suffers from glitches as the signal bandwidth is no greater than 20mbs. when they started OTA 8VSB deployment back in 1999 for HD, that signal strength was near 50mbs. i still have recordings off HBO-HD during those years between 2001-2003 and everyone of my D-VHS tapes are as good as new releases of HD-DVD or Blu-ray DVD.

I think if we wait a bit longer for FIOS, the bit rate for HD there should be near theoretical of 50mbs. picture delivered should be steady as a rock.

then you can pipe it yourself with 801.1-a or 801.1-n to your projection room.

we all hope for this.

ps. i also hope apple will give us 1080p with apple tv this christmas!
