One of the things about SI that really disappoints me is the virtual absence of negative views. How can you hope to objectively view a stock if you don't know what the contrary view is. If you know both the positives and the negatives you are in a much better position to make a reasonable evaluation of which is more likely, and whether or not the good or bad news is priced into the stocks. Sadly, when someone posts a negative view on SI they are usually treated to ridicule and harrassment, rather than treated as the valuable resource that they are. Some threads, like WFR, welcome bears with open arms, and present a fair, objective view. Other threads have been known to ridicule and harrass negative posters. ASND, APM and CYRX come to mind (I have posted negative perspectives on both APM and CYRX in the past, and neither was welcome).
Most threads are like this one simply don't get any negative posts. That leaves us all in the dark when we get a big drp like we have had. None of us has any idea why the sellers chose to dump the stock, so we all assume that they were mistaken about the implications of the PWAV-LG contract, or that they sold in panic, or whatever. Wouldn't it be better if we had someone who was short the stock who could tell us why?
