Gee, Shorty, you are aware are you not that there was much discussion about Ike during the Battle of the Bulge (Christmas, 1944) regarding whether he was asleep at the switch, so to speak. Do you really think there was no critiquing of military commanders in WWII....or in Korea (MacArthur)? Ike was under constant scrutiny, from the Torch landing on....
