InStep Mobile Communications Moves Ahead
Wireless Internet Solutions - Peter Bradshaw Appointed
to Board of Directors

InStep Mobile Communications announced a new Wireless Internet
Dispatch system at the CDPD Forum in Washington DC on June
25, 1997. This allows customers to use a private address on
InStep's Internet web page to dispatch calls in real time to mobile
data terminals or the new generation of smart phones. This
development brings InStep closer to delivering "shrink wrapped"
fleet dispatch solutions requiring minimal installation and support
as described in our 1996 Annual Report.

Peter L. Bradshaw has been appointed as a Director of the
company, and chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Bradshaw
has been involved in the wireless data industry for a number of
years. Peter has been active in the management, the board and the
funding of several companies in this market segment including
TelSoft Mobile Data, MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. and Service
Systems International.

Mary Touhey has resigned from the Board of Directors. We wish
to thank her for her contribution over the last two years as part of
the team that has built the foundation for the company's continued
growth. She will continue to manage corporate communications.

The company also announces that, subject to regulatory approval, it
has arranged a $600,000 private placement of common shares. The
private placement will involve the issuance of up to 2,400,000
shares at a price of $0.25 per share with non-transferable share
purchase warrants to purchase a further 2,400,000 shares of the
company exercisable for a term of 24 months at a price of $0.30
per share in the first year, and at a price of $0.60 per share in the
second year. The company will use the proceeds of the private
placement for working capital.

Founded in 1991, InStep Mobile Communications Inc develops
real time wireless dispatch solutions for taxi, paratransit,
messenger and courier applications around the world with
installations in Canada, the US, Europe, Mexico and Asia.
InStep's family of products include TaxiCAD, CourierCAD and
MessengerCAD wireless data dispatch systems.
