Are you LOL'ing at yourself? I never said he did poorly... just it was not worth paying for if you simply buy the index you make a LOT more money if you compound that 1.3% a year difference for 20 years...

Also, take a look at $10,000 compounded at 12.0 vs 11.7% for 20 years and tell me that the money is insignificant to you....

Who said it was horrible? Not I. Are you making things up?

His under performance in 1986 and 1987 would not have any bearing on his returns between 1988 and 2007... it is not on his record because he made up new portfolios but it would lower his compound annual return some more..
