mofet/ ultracom/ orctf

thanks (again) for the additional mofet info...

>>.. an Israeli public traded V.C. ...<<

Had no idea Mofet was publicly traded. There is nothing similar that i know of in the USA.... Maybe the closest thing would be RIETs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) ??... Interesting, publicly traded V.C's, the little guys get to buy into the big risk/big payoff... and i gather from your descriptions, that their portfolio would be part of the public record...

Have been starting to gather info on Ultracom (cable modems), another Mofet holding.

In May '96 Ultracom was funded ($4 million) partially by the Mofet and Star Groups who invested a combined total of $2.0 million for which they received approximately 27% of Ultracom's share capital on a fully diluted basis.

Do you have access to additional info? such as breakdown of $/ sharecount? Believe other ultracom investors include Newbury Ventures, Oxton Israel Capital, France Telecom, and Gilde Investment Fund... and orctf owns 25%... As you are probably aware the orctf/ ultracom "connection" goes beyond share ownership...

The relationship between Ultracom (Israel) and Ultracom Communications Inc (USA) is somewhat interesting... each claims the other as a subsidiary... Do you have any sense as to where the truth may lie?

Also, would be very interested, should you hear any info from the Alex Brown conference next week... Maybe hdsl news? ... new silicon etc? ...

Best wishes
