Yes, that could work. I worrry that Rudy may end up being as polarizing as Hillary. His record may get overshadowed by the backdrop of his past (and current in some cases) positions on abortion, gun control, immigration and family values. There are some traditional Republican voters who won't vote for him...nor would they ever vote for Hillary. So maybe they stay home, or head for some third way.

Right now the Democrats have the wind at their backs, despite their seeming internal controversy. Hillary as 32% in Iowa. I never thought we would see that. Edwards and others have spent way more time and money in that State.

Romney could still move up with a strong early showing in Iowa and New Hampshire...but would some republicans not vote for him either?
