McCain seemed tired. Tired of having to answer the same type of question over and over again. Tired of showing up at these so called debates and explaining once again who he is and what he stands for.

Tired of competing.

I don't know if he couldn't hear Maria, wasn't paying attention or was daydreaming? Maybe he is experiencing some hearing loss, but she had to repeat some of the questions that were directed at him.

Thompson isn't on his game yet, but he got a good lesson last night, and for the most part, said things that conservatives like to hear. He will have to polish up a bit.....he won't get any second takes in these debates.

You can tell Rudi is a take charge kind of guy. He is getting better and better at this. His comment about 9/11.........after Ron Paul made even more of a fool of himself, was appropriate. It was exactly what I was thinking. Well.........that and Pearl Harbor.

Mitt is so damned polished, and he is an excellent public speaker. He is bright and articulate and rarely sounds mealy mouthed.

Huckabee as VP would make any conservative feel safe. What a bright man.

Is it my imagination, or are the repubs a lot more direct and focused. My guess would be that they give direct answers to 9 out of 10 questions. I'd guess dems give direct answers to 5 out of 10 questions. The rest of it seems vague and full of wishful thinking.

Repubs also seem to carry the water when it comes to national security and terrorism. I've not seen a study, but it seems like they include a mention of security and the threat of terrorism in almost every answer they give one way or another. I certainly couldn't say the same about dems.

Mathews makes me want to throw something. He does not belong in the same room with smart men.
