After the Iraq WMD fiasco, my confidence in our intelligence agencies dropped precipitously. The revelations about mishandling of pre-9/11 intelligence that prevented us from stopping 9/11, pushed my confidence level to near zero.

Our intelligence agencies now have to prove to me they are credible, before I believe them. Stuff about Iran, which is in the cross hairs of major American lobbying groups, are especially suspect.
