That amount is 5 bcf above what was injected into storage during the same week last year, and 5 bcf above the five-year average. It's 11 bcf more than what was injected into storage during the week ended Sept. 28.

GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 10, 2007 Total Gulf production is down about 1%, or 110,000 Dth/d, today with most of the decline in Texas. In fact Texas volumes are down about 7%, or 218,000 Dth/d, compared to the month-to-date average. The onshore Texas region shows the largest drops down 181,000 Dth/d compared to month-to-date levels. Volumes are down on all of the major Texas onshore pipes. NGPL flows have dropped the most. Offshore production is flat today and down slightly compared to the month-to-date average.
TEXAS ENERGY BULLETIN: October 10, 2007 Henry Hub dropped by 6.4 cnts to $6.63 while Ship Channel increased by 3.2 cnts to $6.75, bringing that differential to 12 cnts. The Ship Channel to Waha differential was basically unchanged at 10 cnts, with Waha up 3.3 cnts. Flows moving east dropped by 265,000 MMbtu. Socal roared up 13.5 cnts to $6.70, flipping the differential to Waha from 5 cnts under to 5 cnts over. Flows moving West to Socal were up by 72,000 MMbtu. Panhandle was up by 4.5 cnts to $6.27. Flows moving east from the Permian to Waha flipped from a 109,000 MMbtu delivery to a 26,000 MMbtu receipt. ERCOT peak load is at 47 GW.
US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 10, 2007 US gas burn falls by 3.1 Bcf today after setting a record October burn of 26.8 Bcf in yesterday's I2 cycle. Yesterday's I2 nominations rose 1.3 Bcf from yesterday's evening cycle to settle 261 MMcf over Monday's nominations. The RFC and SERC have fallen off significantly today, with RFC down nearly 1 Bcf and SERC off 570 MMcf. WECC has steadily increased this week and is now burning 3.3 Bcf. Burn for the EIA week ending 10/11 is projected at 175 Bcf, 24 Bcf greater than the week ending 10/4.
