The King James Bible was mostly a translation of a Bible written by Erasmus of Rotterdam. Erasmus did not even use the best sources available in his day. So, it's a translation of a mediocre to bad version. But, what the hey. Most Americans think it was written by King James I or by Shakespeare. <G>
