a joyful update on my dear friend

had her lumpectomy early last week

took out 2 centimeters of breast tissue and all her lymph nodes on that side - spent one night in the hospital

there was a small pea size tumor left

little discomfort - light pain pills

she can't lift that arm or drive for 2 weeks

then in mid November 6 weeks of radiation begins

she feels so positive

I do too

am taking her to a dinner and play tonight - she wants to get out
