>>The thinking of those that pushed for war was expressed very well in the letter to President Clinton included in the post below. All of their concerns were obviously heightened by 9/11 and the realization that terrorists even coming to our shores and doing something big was no longer a theoretical risk.<<

one can list 100 countries that could sponsor an attack on the usa.

do you support taking all of them over?

how can your position be consistent if you don't support taking them all over?

the risk of terrorism has dramatically increased since the invasion.

you are so focused on the idea of theoretical risk of not taking action, you, much like this administration, gave little thought to the risk of actually taking unsupportable action.

hence, the mess we are in today.

oh, and it is a doozy. we could've done a lot for the american citizenry with the money spent to create an environment that dramatically increased terrorist recruits.

there is risk associated with taking action. given the known results of the current disaster, i'd prefer risking the threat of saddam dumping sand on america... b/c that's about all he had.

oh, and the guy who actually masterminded the actual attack... he roams free producing videos talking about attacking the usa. the risk of attacking the wrong entity for the wrong reasons includes not having the resources to find the guy that actually attacked you.

and this is good design... exactly how?
