GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 11, 2007 Total Gulf production is flat today with no significant change in flows and no potential hurricane threat to disrupt supply. There is a large trough of low pressure across the Caribbean, but hurricane formation is not expected. A rebound in volumes from the Texas onshore has offset lower flows from onshore and offshore Louisiana and the other southeastern states. However, Texas onshore production remains down about 5% compared to the average over the previous week. Louisiana flows also are 2-4% lower than the seven-day average. Independence volumes have declined to less than 0.5 Bcf/d.
TEXAS ENERGY BULLETIN: October 11, 2007 Henry roared past other regional pricing, increasing 16.5 cnts to $6.79. With Ship Channel up only 2.6 cnts to $6.78, the Ship vs. Henry differential dropped from 12 cnts favoring Ship to 2 cnts favoring Henry. Waha was down 3 cnts to $6.62, bringing the Ship-Waha differential up from 10 cnts to 15 cnts. Flows moving east from Waha are up by 63,000 MMbtu. Panhandle was relativel flat, moving up 1.2 cnts to $6.28. Permian flows east to Waha were back into the positive range, but only at 7,000 MMbtu. Implied heat rates have all dropped to the 9 range, the lowest weekday values in recent weeks.
US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 11, 2007 US gas burn drops to a docile 19.7 Bcf today, a 4.1 Bccf decline from yesterday's I2 nominations. Yesterday's I2 a mere 63 MMcf above yesterday's evening cycle. Today's biggest losers include the RFCE and SERC, which have shed 874 MMcf and 501 MMcf resepctively.The FRCC and WECC have also contributed to the overall decline, down a combined 497 MMcf.The NPCC has dropped only marginally while the SPP is the only region showing a gain, up 12 MMcf.
