CR, I never thought we'd agree on who the best 2008 Presidential contender is, but here we are.

The problem that Paul has is that he is going up against the entire political establishment. He is challenging the simulacrum of "debate" that happens in our political campaigns.

(BTW, how I would love to see a real debate between our candidates- you know:

Constructive Argument- Affirmative
Constructive Argument- Negative
Cross-examination by Negative
Cross-examination by Affirmative
Negative Rebuttal
Affirmative Rebuttal )

His candidacy reveals just how similar the two parties are, and why nothing clever or interesting happens in DC despite the bloviations of our rulers. Because he is challenging the establishment, the MSM refuses to take him seriously. The media have a vested interest in things staying as they are. It is no accident that the concentration of media power has mirrored the concentration of power in our federal capital.
