We liberals feel this is very very bad and undermines the constitution of the United States. If we dems feel we elected a bad president we will run him or her right out of office.

koan, I believe there was an election in 2004 and a majority of the voters concluded they did not want to run the President right out of office. Unless there is an impeachment, and despite certain strident voices there won't be one, President Bush will serve out his term.

You'll have your shot at electing a replacement in 2008.

There is no reason, however, to demean the office. Some of the comments from the left about Bush do precisely that. You can dislike the man, dislike his policies, but I believe Geoff's point is, respect the office. If we as a country can't do that, we've lost a lot as a society.
