As QCOM goes down, so will Europe and USA because it means property rights are no longer recognized [not that they ever were] but the attacks are gathering strength, with MSFT being attacked by the Kroes Klutz Klan [KKK] in Europe.

Royalty rates are too low for QCOM, not too high. The current low rates were established at a time when QCOM was over a barrel in the early 1990s.

They made the mistake of allowing the GSM Guild to use CDMA in the W-CDMA standard. They should have denied them their request.

450MHz OFDM is a good thing.

There are many aspects.

Globalstar is not dead, but it's certainly in trouble after years of mismanagement and delays in getting more satellites up and a sensible marketing plan established.

QUALCOMM is far from dead. The brilliant early years are over, but there is huge market growth still to be enjoyed. If China chooses wisely instead of stupidly, which is not likely, then both China and QUALCOMM could do spectacularly well. China prefers stupid ideas to good ones. They are in good company.

The world seems to run on "least bad idea" principles. After trying all possible bad ideas, people give up and try a more sensible idea. Those who adopt the least bad ideas are considered wondrous.
