Innovative Safe Drinking Water Solution Expected to Make Waves at Voice of the Wetlands Festival 2007 October 12-14th Thursday October 11, 5:00 am ET
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wataire International Inc. ("Wataire" or the "Company") (OTCBB:WTAR - News) is pleased to announce participation in the Voice of the Woodlands Festival held in Houma, La. Industry leaders and influentials, politicians and environmental experts from across the country will be making their way to this year's Voice of the Wetlands Festival (VOW) at Southdown Plantation for great music, food and local culture. More importantly, this unique festival is an opportunity for education and generating awareness about Louisiana's severe coastal erosion issues, as well as the chance to experience first hand an exciting new water-from-air technology that could be the answer to NOT ONLY the gulf coast's clean drinking water problems, but the entire country's.
Festival exhibitor Wataire International's Atmospheric Water Generating products (AWGs) are expected to be a key feature for those seeking eco-friendly, cost-efficient, clean drinking water. Using a patent-pending technology that works on a principle similar to that of a dehumidifier, Wataire's AWG units convert humidity from the atmosphere into water. However, rather than being discarded, the water is completely purified via an intricate series of filtration systems that eliminate virtually all airborne pollution and biological contaminants, then stored in a chilled recirculating tank and held for human consumption. The resulting water product rivals the taste and cleanliness of any bottled water on the market today and even exceeds stringent World Health Organization drinking water standards. Wataire's WII-4010 19 liter (5 gallon) per day home/office machines, along with the CI-2500 AWG mobile unit, capable of producing 2500 liters (650 gallons) of water a day, will be on hand to quench the thirsts of visitors for the duration of the festival.
"The demand for clean drinking water is an ongoing, ever-increasing problem plaguing people, communities and industries throughout the entire gulf coast and around the world," said Robert Rosner, CEO of Wataire International Inc. "Given the tragic lack of safe water in Gulf regions during the aftermath of Katrina, and as fresh water sources continue to be depleted through population increases, severe overuse, and excessive real estate development, the need to cultivate new sources for generating clean drinking water has become an immediate, compelling necessity for everyone to consider."
With units ranging in size from home/office units to commercial units capable of producing more than 5000 liters (1300 gallons) of water in a single 24-hour period, the technology is attracting significant attention from the oil and mining industries, military, disaster & emergency relief operations, beverage bottling plants, tourist resorts, condominium developments and the boat/pleasure craft industry, to name a few.
The Voice of the Wetlands Festival takes place October 12-14th at Southdown Plantation, 1208 Museum Drive in Houma, La. Festival hours are Friday, October 12, 5pm-10pm; Saturday, October 13, 11am-10pm; and Sunday, October 14, 11am-8pm. |
