Verizon FIOS opdate

Verizon Communications expects its FiOS TV service to be available to 9 million homes in the U.S. by the close of 2007, with that number slated to double by 2011. "It's a platform on which we can provide any number of services in the voice, video, data and wireless domain. ... it's the platform that can take us into the next decade," said Mark Wegleitner, Verizon's chief technology officer.
