Part of the problem is that the people who are typically displayed to represent the decriminalisation / legalisation issue do not appear to be average every day Joes. More often than not it is someone whose appearance screams rejection of society.

When I go to the bank to pay my loan I dress as I choose. When asking for money, I dress as the banker expects a respectable client to dress. Perception IS everything. when I think of the protests in Florida over Gore's attempts to steal the election of 2000 it seems like they were giving away free marijuana.
