GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: October 12, 2007 Slight decline in today's volume, down 165,000 overall, offshore though only down 42,000. With Indy Hub cranking out 528,000 today and over 500,000 the last several days, this Oct is actually 64,000 mmbtu above last October. Turning the 6% decline into a gain of 1% - very impressive to see GOM production actually adding volumes.
TEXAS ENERGY BULLETIN: October 12, 2007 Henry continued to move up in Thursday trading, increasing by 5.5 cnts to $6.85. Ship Channel came in at $6.80, or 5 cnts below Henry.Waha was down by 3 cnts at $6.59, or about 21 cnts below Ship Channel. There was almost no change in volumes moving east or west out of Waha. Socal was up less than a penny, resulting in a 20 cent differential over Waha. Panhandle was up 9 cnts to $6.37.Flows moving from the Permian into Waha returned to more typical numbers, up 136,000 MMbtu. Implied heat rates dropped again into the 8x range due to lower power prices
US POWER - GAS BURN REPORT: October 12, 2007 US gas burn rises continues it's rapid descent today, dropping nearly 3 Bcf to settle at 17.4 Bcf in total.Yesterday's I2 nominations rose slightly by 679 MMcf to go over 20 Bcf for the day. Every NERC region shows a loss today; SERC settles below 1 bcf, the FRCC drops 250 MMcf, and the WECC is at 2.8 Bcf.The RFC and NPCC also signal more fall like burns, dropping 149 MMcf and 181 MMcf respectively. For the month of October, average burn is still 2.7 Bcf higher per day than last October. |
