The republicans better start paying attention to what the people are saying - or maybe they don't want to win?

Are you suggesting that the other Republican candidates should start astro-turfing unscientific online polls in order to create a false appearance of widespread support? Because that's the only thing this episode shows. If you frequent places like Digg you will see Paul supporters advertising polls to go spam to drive up Paul's numbers.

People who participate in online polls are a distinct minority. Of that minority, a much more vocal minority are Paul supporters who flip online polls. It doesn't mean anything. In scientific polls, Paul gets like 1%.
