I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time. Just look at the courses offered at your nearest college and go for a few that really interest you. My friend took the navigation course because they go out on the boat a lot and because her husband had a pretty bad heart attack a few yrs back. She thought it would be a good idea to know how to get back to shore in case of an emergency. That whole idea has blossomed into something else, and she admits it is something that she would never have thought of before the heart attack. And I know what you mean about a nose for direction. I just got back from a Chanterelle hunt, and had to go so deep into the woods this time that it took me quite a while and much brush whacking to get back to the known trail. Finally found it by following my nose. ;) BTW we'll be having Chanterells And Prawns In Cream over spiral pasta tonight.
