Red, good posting...IMHO, the U.S. markets are no longer Free Markets. Just having the PPT takes that premise and turns it on its head. In 1987 it was the Investment Bank's that were told to buy Equities, and as I understand it, the Govt. started to buy what was the smallest of futures indexes, the MMI. That was done on Tuesday morning right after Black Monday.

So no I'm not suprised that BB and HP would tell their buddies to start buying Equities, That the 50 BP cut was directed right at Wall St.
