I find that most everyone I know personally takes the responsibility for following the advice and losing money on it. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be angry about it, or feel betrayed by someone who prior to that had trusted. Again, it is not the recommendation but the aftermath and they way he handled it. The fact that the QQQQ comes up 7 years later is because I think the critics of Brinker use it as evidence to support their view that Brinker can not or should not be trusted. Some bring it up I suppose because it is still an open position in their mind, and they want advice on what to do with it, but I think it is the former reason that it is most widely discussed.

You know I was a huge fan of Bob's long ago and thought he could do no wrong. It was when I started listening closely, taking copius notes and tracking him that my opinion started to change. I think the criticism he gets now comes from people who know his tricks so to speak. They hear him brag endlessly about his the things he predicted that worked out, while ignore, or worse yet, spin the predictions that didn't work out. For example, in just the last couple of shows, I have heard Bob spin the issues of DVY, the dollar, gold and real estate. Maybe that doesn't bother you, but it bothers some people. - David Korn
