Over 600,000 in volume today; that's more than double VANS daily average. In conjunction with the surge of interest in small caps, the focused management and consistent earnings growth of Vans seems to be generating a new groundswell of stock accumulation. The price is rising as well and will probably easily push into the 20's or higher before long, as suggested by several analysts and investment magazines.

Check out the extensive list of recent accomplishments on the first page of their new annual report to get a sense of Vans' great strength and purpose. One of the developments for fiscal '98 that caught my eye, incidentally, was the addition of new technical features in their footwear, including the upcoming release of their "patent-pending Impulse Technology." I just think back to the impact that "Nike Air" had on that company's earnings to know that Vans' designers are on the right track!
