Jaytee: Caution advised when following Pristine DayTrader. I have been a member several times, but no longer, though I think they're great. I find SI better and don't have to pay big bucks per month.
Pristine are intelligent, accurate, high-stakes gamblers. They win big, but stop-loss V-E-R-Y often. Out of about 8 trade recommendations they stop-lossed 6. Other times things go well for them and they have few stop-losses. One of their mottos is "IF NOT UP IN THE A.M., SELL!!!".
Pristine has an international following. Believe me, when they make a recommendation on stocks $15 - $100 the stock can jump 2 - 4% strictly on their buy-in, at the exact point they said to wait for. They even have a program where you leave your money with them and they trigger buy/sells for you on their core portfolio. I've seen it many times ... when Pristine recommends, a stock M-O-V-E-S at the exact point they suggest.
Unfortunately, it moves for about 1 hour (ha-ha, but true). Then it subsides. It's a momentary burst from the massive buy-in. If you get caught in a Pristine gap-up on a recommended stock you have to wait an extra day or two to approach break-even on commissions (depending on number of shares bought).
Pristine has also made some extremely bad recommendations. When they say get out, do it NOW, because their recommendation to stop-out can force a stock down 5-10% instantly. It plummets from there. You can see the stock hit the Pristine stop-out point and plummet. Happens too often to be coincidence.
My suggestion to you: Be careful. Pristine is GREAT, but often blows it. IF YOU DO THINGS THE PRISTINE WAY, YOU MUST BE NIMBLE!!! |
