LIAR. The Shah was dying of cancer and had already fled Iran by then. The hostages were taken solely because Carter gave the Shah sanctuary. If you want to blame anything for the fall of the Shah blame the Shah himself. He was a rich selfish playboy who didn't give a damn about his own people.

You rightwing A-holes ignore the facts. The real fact to look at is how you A-holes armed the Iranians and got them to hold onto the hostages until after the election, so voters would blame Carter. Ollie North was part of arming the Iranian extremists and can you believe that traitorous crook is given his own show on Fox News. Seig Heil.
