On May 6 1997 in post #23492 John Woods of Canada Stockwatch is quoted from that day's Vancouver Sun on the Bre-X fallout:

"There will be a huge public relations blitz, a bunch of inquiries and much soul searching, all with the one intention of finding Michael de Guzman as the bad apple in the barrel. If it goes much beyond that I'll be presently surprised."

Shareholders could have been saved $2.5 million and spared the horseshit if the company had simply hired Woods in May of this year. I live in the country and I know the relative value of horseshit when stacked up against an investigation paid for and directed by b.s. artists like David Walsh and his cohorts.

But, of course, as Merrick Walsh AKA mikesloan AKA drumbeat (AKA the sympathetic protaganist of Lalit Jain and ole 49r fantasies) said, the only thing that David Walsh did wrong was find too much gold!

The civil court actions will shred the veil of these illusions. Too bad the mainstream Canadian press has abandoned its role of serving the public -- otherwise the lies would be exposed that much sooner.
