Finally, TI introduced a video subsystem using ARM, with mpeg4/sp and jpeg encoder and decoder.TMS320DM355.

This will handle 720p and 30 frames per second for Mpeg4 and 50 megapixels per second for Jpeg.

This chip is designed for cameras, and extends battery life.

But the new power can be used in set-top boxes. This may change all the set-top box manufacturing to go with these codecs.

If this technology succeeds then all triple play will be wonderful?
